I truly believe that children are a gift from God! In return, we as parents and teachers have the responsibility to raise our children to glorify God. I enjoy this awesome challenge!
I have a total of 13 years teaching experience with a valid teaching certificate in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I also have a Finance degree with management and marketing experience. My favorite subjects are math, science, creative writing, and art.
I take commitments very seriously. I have been married for 24 years to my wonderfully supportive husband David. He is an Electrical Engineer at Eglin. We are blessed with two children of our own. Ryan, my oldest is 17. He is a senior this year, and he was born my first year of teaching. He enjoys sailing, art, and guitar. My daughter, Rylee is 13 years old and in eighth grade this year. She enjoys cooking, sewing, art, and creative writing.
We joined First Baptist Church when she was born. We are proud to say that we were all baptized at our own special time here at First Baptist. I am happy to be called to serve the Lord, as the 2nd Grade teacher at Destin Christian Academy.
