Physical Education:
Physical Education is a very important part of the Academy curriculum. Each class learns motor skills, individual and team games, and various team sports based on their age and abilities.
Physical Education classes are held daily for all classes, rain or shine.
Outside of our regular Physical education classes, we offer a variety of extracurricular sporting activities. Please click on the appropriate link at the top of this page to learn more.
Soccer: DCA works with the city league to form our own soccer teams and still participate with local teams through Morgan's Sports Center. We are always thankful to our parent volunteers who help with the coaching.
Cheerleading: Cheerleading is offered to girls who would like to show off their school spirit during basketball season. They wear official cheerleading uniforms and help spread spirit through our entire school. The girls range in age from Kindergarten through 5th grade. They work hard to learn many cheers to help lead our Eagles to victory!
Basketball: Teams are formed for DCA, Rocky Bayou, and Calvary Christian. These teams alternate playing one another. Games are generally held on Saturday mornings at Rocky Bayou and Calvary.
Baseball: Since the Academy does not currently have a baseball facility, we encourage the students that would like to play, to sign up with Destin Little League. T-Ball is offered for children beginning at 5 years of age. Baseball is offered for children ages 8 and up. More information can be retrieved by visiting destinlittleleague.org.
